I was very happy with my yarn! I ordered 12 , I got 9 of 1 color and 3 of another color. Plenty of each to make lots of items. I received the cones which I was really happy about . I got a nice mixture of the small skeins that came with each one. This should last me a long time but I would definitely order again. What a great value!

The Vintage Wallpaper Throw is an easy and fun project! I loved crocheting this throw and took it everywhere. People would come up to me and ask me about it and want to touch the yarn which is very soft. Of course I had to excitedly tell them all about Bag O Day and her easy tutorials! She does have a tutorial of this throw which I used a couple times for the border. I have never put a border on a blanket before. I love how quick and easy the half double crochet stitch is, it’s also my favorite stitch so far. This kit or the finished project would make a great gift! I will buy this again in other colors.

Recently purchased 4 skeins of Big Twist Sparkle yarn. My granddaughter’s favorite color is purple,so got 2purple and 2 white. Made her a small throw blanket for college and it turned out very “ sparkly”. Had a little trouble with the thin thread of sparkles, but after using it, I would definitely purchase it again. There were even washing instructions in the info. Machine wash, lay flat to dry. Very helpful. Thanks again, Mary Maxim! Very satisfied,as usual.

I love the look of this sweater - to me, it's like a birch tree in the snow. :) The yarn's soft and easy to work with, there was plenty in the kit, and the project worked up quickly. The yarn is thick and the pattern calls for a 6mm hook, so I made the sweater a size smaller than I usually would. As for the written pattern... Following it was no problem until it got to the sleeve holes. If you don't like wearing winter layers, the pattern might be fine for you. But, if you do wear layers, the sleeves for sizes M and L are far too small and narrow. I had to unravel the sleeve I'd made following the pattern and do my own calculations to make the sleeves larger and longer. I also ended up modifying the lapels and collar, and enlarging the pockets which, as written, were quite shallow. All in all it is a lovely looking cardigan/jacket and it's warm, if a bit thick and heavy. But it is not smooth going following the pattern as written and you may have to size down, then modify the sleeves, pockets, collar, and edges if you want the finished sweater to fit right.

This pattern was extremely easy to follow, even though it says intermediate. I had to size down a hook to meet the gauge. I also sized down one in actual cardigan size, as it is a large fit. I could have probably even went down two sizes to be honest, so keep that in mind when doing it! All depends how you like your fit. The yarn is great to work with, might be one of my favorites so far (I'm fairly new and still trying lots of new yarns!). Overall, I'd probably make this again!
This was my first time using a pattern and making a piece of clothing. I had to rip out rows a couple of times due to counting errors, but I kept going. This cardigan came out beautifully and is so warm and soft. I have friends and family asking for one.
This pattern is definitely intermediate but is laid out really well and good to follow. I have made several of these in different colours. It does size quite big, so if you think you are a medium you might want to go with a small. Absolutely love the end product and the yarn as always is beautiful. I have now made a medium, large, XL, and 2XL.

The pattern in the catalogue is labelled easy crochet so I ordered it The kit came in the mail and so excited. Then the pattern reads intermediate Not sure what I can do as above my crochet level and anyone I know who crochets is not sure they will be able to do it either. But I love the sweater although it is still just balls of yarn
Very disappointed in the sweater pattern. The yarn is a product I have used in the past so I knew what I was getting. I was excited to get started making it. I did not go far before I discovered the pattern has a lot of mistakes in it. After taking several rows out to remake it, the mistakes just kept coming. I finally gave up and this will turn into a $50.00 unfinished item in my closet. I have made lots of sweaters and know how to read patterns.
