Illusions afghan

I enjoyed making this afghan. The pattern was easy to follow. I have been working on some complicated projects lately and found this one relaxing to do. When finished the colours stand out much more than in the picture. I’m pleased with the way it turned out.

Colors are dull compared to photos

About 25% done and I think they use special lighting to make those colors look more vibrant. It’s not that they’re bad colors. It’s just that they do not look as bright as the photos to me. Yarn snags easily. I’m afraid I’ll put all that time in and it will look worn in no time.

I haven't started this afghan yet, but can't wait to try it. I am not a fan of granny squares, but when I saw this one I had to get it because it is so unique. Love the colors.

Really Great Project

I had so much fun making this one. Once the first motif was done, the rest were the exact same just different colors. Which meant it worked up really fast and the end result was fabulous. I had more than enough yarn to complete the project. Instructions were very clear and easy to follow.

I did not have enough main color to finish. Had to slightly adjust the pattern so the design was centered on the motif. Easy pattern, though. Slight ply variations in one contrasting color that threw off the gauge.
