I have crocheted six of MJs sweaters in the last 3 years but this is my first kit and first time using MJs yarn. Mary Maxim makes the process very easy by offering kits - they arrive in a clear reusable zipper bag with heavy printed patterns making it easy to start crocheting.
The only thing I have to say is greatness. I got 3 boxes of the same yarn, but a little bit of a difference in each one. If you buy more than 2 maybe make the boyarn different. I love them really addicting.
I saw this is beautiful. As soon as I finished with my current project I’m going to start this!

I love the finish afghan. So pretty to give away. Made white, red and green gold thread. Thinking about making white purple and gold. I am sure it will be just as pretty as my first one.
Easy Afghan pattern. I finished in a week. I took a star off because I needed one more skein of white sparkle yarn than what was provided in the kit. Thankfully I purchased extra skeins before starting this project. I used all the white plus about half of additional skein. I had a little bit of yarn left over from the kit of emerald and ruby but not much. My family loves this afghan. My kid is trying to claim it as his own. I will probably make another in his favorite colors.
This pattern is perfect for a beginner like myself. Goes pretty fast. Looking forward to doing another one.

I cannot complete this throw as there is not enough white sparkle yarn in this kit. Tried to find the yarn at web site to get one more ball of white starlette sparkle. This is extremely rare but it happens. It would be appreciated if I could get this to complete throw.

spent over $200 dollars and received the order and going through the order 3 kits DO have the colors that show for the kit. Very upset! If you don't have the colors, then don't ship or hold till the right colors come in. You replace with terrible colors now I have to go buy what comes close to the right colors!!Pissed

I am fairly new at the art of crocheting and I must have tried 3 times to begin this beautiful blanket. I have begun the beginning again and hopefully I have read the directions correctly. I have crochet 3 blankets and I had hoped to order4 more kits but at this stage I am a little concerned that this last try will force me to think twice about ordering the kit again.
I love your products and hope to to continue with your wonderful store. I would love to have a u tube tutorial video on this, but no luck in finding one. This tutorial would only be the first two rows of the blanket just to get me started. Much thanks to your store. You are the best that I have looked at.

This pattern was not difficult to make, and the pattern was easy to follow, although you do have to keep track of the number of stitches in each ripple. The yarn is soft and snuggly, and the metalic threads in it give the afghan a shimmer that is festive and inviting.

Pattern is easy and colors are nice. Not real happy with the quality of the yarn. It wants to split often when working with it.
