I have crocheted six of MJs sweaters in the last 3 years but this is my first kit and first time using MJs yarn. Mary Maxim makes the process very easy by offering kits - they arrive in a clear reusable zipper bag with heavy printed patterns making it easy to start crocheting.
The only thing I have to say is greatness. I got 3 boxes of the same yarn, but a little bit of a difference in each one. If you buy more than 2 maybe make the boyarn different. I love them really addicting.
I saw this is beautiful. As soon as I finished with my current project I’m going to start this!

This looks like a really fun tissue box cover to make. Fall and winter are my favorite seasons. I really like the Color scheme. This project is going to be fun.

I found the yarn colors a little dull, the ones in the picture on line looked more vibrant.

Very easy to do and pretty for fall. I also ran out of the taupe color and couldn’t complete the top. Called customer service and they are sending more of the yarn. Very accommodating that way. I had the same happen with a baby Afghan years ago.

I had this project 3/4 of the way done and ran out of the tan background color (I didn't make any mistakes or waste any). Instead of trying to get more yarn, I just took out the 3 sides and used my own yarn. Normally I would probably have a color that matched, but I didn't. I got the kit on sale or I would have been more upset. If the kit had just told me the brand and color of yarn, I could have just ordered more. I have to say, this is the main reason I rarely buy kits. But, it turned out really cute, despite the extra work.

I really loved this project! It was very easy to do, with clearly written instructions and tips for people who have not had much experience with plastic canvas. The kit was complete with everything needed to complete the project, and the colors are easy to match with other autumn projects for matching decor.
