Going well but didn't receive enough of Latte Stripe yarn and had to order more.

I see the problem with the pattern still isn’t being addressed.

I have tried over and over again to get past row 5 without any success. I have searched YouTube and the internet for a corrected version or a video, but nada! I agree with the previous posts,
why is Mary Maxim still selling this pattern if it has not been updated? Why has an updated pattern not been offered to all who have purchased this poorly written pattern, and lastly…do that test the patterns they sell???

This pattern is poorly written. I’ve been crocheting for 55 years and have never had a problem figuring out mistakes and correcting them. I don’t understand why Mary Maxim isn’t addressing the problem and issuing a correction or posting a tutorial to show how row 5 should be done. I don’t know about the rest of the pattern because I can’t get past row 5. Plus I’m to gauge so far but my yarn colors don’t look as clean as the photo. Half the row is one color and the other a different color. Doesn’t look as nice as the photo. Do you pattern test? Will you address the problem with row 5? At this point I can’t recommend this design. Sadly as much as I love it, I might return it. Too much $ not to enjoy making it.

I finally figured the pattern out. After row four turn. When it says 2 rows below it means work on stitches on row 3. Row 5 should have 59 stitches when done. Hope this helps. Good luck to all. FYI. Rated bad because pattern was frustrating. Could have been worded better. Yarn is very good.

I have been crocheting for 60 years and this pattern is the worst. What a waste of money. Is there help for this? Has anyone gotten past row 4? Will keep trying. Ug. I will figure it out eventually but it is frustrating. Like the yarn. Issue is with pattern.

This is a beautiful afghan, and I was so excited to make it. I don't love Red Heart yarn, but the colors are pretty. The pattern is easy to follow for the first three rows, then, when it gets to the placement of the FPtrs, my head started to spin. I've read and reread the pattern and made multiple attempts while trying to see what's going on in the photo of the afghan itself. It doesn't make any sense and is a mess when I do what the pattern says. I'm going to set it aside for now, and give it another try tomorrow. Was this even pattern tested? I've been crocheting and knitting for over 40 years and have never been completely stumped by a pattern. This really needs a diagram. I can't recommend this unfortunately. I usually love Mary Maxim patterns.

But, that’s why I bought it, eh?

Please consider making this pattern available for purchase separately. I would love to make it, but want to use yarn of my own choosing.
