This is some of the nicest yarn for making socks.
No need to baby-sit the finished product as it will launder easily in the machine AND dry successfully in the home dryer. Finding the exact start to match the pattern on both socks can be tricky but as I do afterthought heels, the odd bit you unwind to start a match may find a home there. I use two skeins for hubby’s pair and love using a solid color for heel & toe to create a pleasing design and it allows me to easily replace any heel or toe that springs a leak. I do wish there were more self-patterning choices ..not just self-striping.
I ordered the kroy sock yarn in copper to make a mosaic blanket for my very first Great Grandchild. Unfortunately the pictures of the color on the website have bright and very distinctive color changes. The yarn i received is much darker and if there are color changes they are barely noticeable.
I will be returning the yarn as it doesn't match what i thought I was getting

Kroy sock is my favorite sock yarn! Warm and wears very well. Knits up easily and I seldom have problems with theyarn splitting. I only wish they offered more solid color options.
The yarn itself was wonderful to work with and it washes so nicely. Unfortunately, there were several skeins that did not match in color despite the same dye lot. One of three was completely different in pooling (marel vs striping). It’s good sock trends are mismatching these days. Just a little disappointing.
One skein was wound in opposite direction and knotted at a distant point in the pattern.
I notified customer service and have not heard back

I absolutely love this yarn. It is just the right weight and thickness for fingerless mittens. Just keep hoping they bring back a few of the colors like mulberry.
Excellent quality sock yarn to knit with. Colours are limited, but that’s clearance. Wash instructions are on the label. Makes great yoga socks from their own pattern.

Great yarn for socks. I have made many socks with this yarn and always love the results. It's my go to for gorgeous socks without all the colorwork.

Not the softest sock yarn. Depending on the color, it can be a sensory nightmare. The darker colors seem to be softer to me.
Patons Kroy Sock is the best yarn for making socks IMHO. Sturdy and comfortable to wear, knits up easily. Also great for mittens and gloves!

I liked working with the yarn. It has a combination of wool and nylon which I like. The wool part will need special knit care so I wouldn’t have chosen this yarn if I had known that. I knit for family members and they like simple washing.
