I was working with Premier anti-pilling DK in the color Lake about three years ago. I jumped into a project using the same skeins from the past and ran out of the yarn. I get excited and do this often. I ordered more Lake, hoping that the dye lot would not be glaringly different. The color, different dye lot, is exactly the same color! Thank you! Excellent yarn.
I was looking for a bunch of yarn to make a blanket, and didn't like some of the brands' slight differences in tint. I didn't see that error with Big Twist yarn.
I watch YouTube to learn to knit and purl.
Saw this kit on YouTube - got it cheaper then hunting pattern and yarn.
My one the back panel. I learned something that helped me. The ribbing - I cast on. Then when knit 2 put a color marker ( red) then purl 2 put a different color marker (gold). Then when I flip over to do my purl the knit I don't get mad and lose my mind

Write it out. I do write a code for colors of yarn to write less. Like Gray is G looks like 2 G means 2 gray stitches.
Now I can make my knitting fast. I have lots of boys and men to make for in my family.
So now I use my computer to list these column sheets.
I spend a day making my list + reading pattern see if I have something pop up I would have to undo to add too. Or learn to do on YouTube.
Then I can make it again with out counting a chart.
I love this pattern. My son, Grandson, and now 6 more family men want this sweater.

I love the quarterly afghan club. I have not had a chance to make the July Afghan yet. But it is beautiful, and the yarn is great quality, so soft. Can't wait to get started on this. I do think this club is so worth the cost.

Beautiful colors but yarn knots on itself terribly whether you pull from center or outside the skein. I bought a yarn winder to eliminate this frustrating and time consuming problem. Blanket made up beautifully with the soft color changes but I thought the long ends looked unfinished so I crocheted a half double crocheted edging on those sides.
Yarn is very soft, albeit splitty if you're not careful when working. Beautiful colours. When using the blue and green together at night, it was sometimes difficult to discern the colours, they were very similar.
The instructions weren't difficult in terms of the stitch pattern, but I found the beginning/ending of rows very challenging due to the way the instructions were chopped up.

I absolutely loved the light pastel baby colors and the rainbow effect. When I learned how to crochet some 40-50 years ago, I had a demonstration from a 4-H volunteer leader. Thus, reading written instructions are not a strong suite for me. After many years of hiatus, I dusted off my hooks and wanted to try crocheting again. Esp. since home alone with lockdown and hearing my nephew was expecting twins! So, I ordered 2 kits and had high hopes!
I tried three different times reading the pattern/instructions and by row three my interpretation of the instructions just did NOT work! After frogging, which with light weight double strand yarn was a challenge as fuzzing was starting. I finally gave up and did the sober granny thanks to Krista and Utube video tutorial.
My first was long and narrow, but the second was just right! I had some white yarn in my stash and included a shell boarder. My photo is how one turned out using your kit/yarn but different pattern.

I started the blanket, crochet 5 rows and the stitches don' match yo to the pattern. I took it all out and started again, but had the same problem. It seem so be on row 3 or row 4.

Directions seemed a little tricky due to the post crochet sequence, but once the pattern took shape in the 3rd/4th row, it was easy to follow. I find written patterns more challenging to decipher than viewing a video.
Yarn is soft and beautifully coloured. The colour fade effect in the blanket is very pretty. The yarn catches a bit on my hook, so I just have to take care when working.
I look forward to seeing this completed. It would definitely make a gorgeous and treasured gift. I will post a picture when it's finished.
