I started the afghan the same day my crochet club kit arrived and I finished it...working on and off...in about 3 days! And I was able to gift it to a family friend who has had some serious health issues recently...and she loved it! The yarn was beautiful and felt so nice to work with. I'm 71 and have crippling arthritis in my hands and I really appreciate easy patterns and lovely yarn to be able to still enjoy my hobby. Pile of kittens puzzle was a gift for my sister. She loves cats and completed the puzzle and thought it was adorable. Worked great on her new puzzle board. Kept it safe from the cats.
The storage board was a gift to my sister. They have cats in their home and would get up on her puzzles, making a mess. She told me the storage board was the best ever gift. Works super well and can fold it up to keep the cats away.

My first order from Mary Maxim. I am using the Mellowspun dk Dove yarn for a waffle stitch throw. This yarn is easy to work with (I’m a beginner) and is so very soft. I can’t wait to cuddle with it. Ordering was super easy and I love the various discounts and sales.

Mellowspun material is soft & light. The project I crocheted ended up a bit thinner than I expected it to be, so the shape of the toddler sweater was a bit stretchy but it's ok. I would order again. I like the Denim color & looks lovely finished.

I understand that colors may vary from dye lot to dye lot, but I ordered denim blue and got gray.
The label does say denim, but it doesn’t come close to the color on my previous order or the color shown on the website.

Mellowspun DK crochets up beautifully. It’s wonderful for throws and blankets. The yarn resists pilling, and is great for colorwork. It also runs through the washer nicely and blocks well for those who block their projects. It’s one of my favorite DK’s.
The color does not match the online image. The yarn I received is a much lighter shade. It will not work for the project I planned, but I like it and will try to use it for something else.
Works up great and easy on the hands
Chose this yarn for my second ever crochet project, first time ever making a baby blanket. The yarn arrived quicker than expected. It is so soft and easy to work with. The strands don’t unravel easily either. I’m very happy with my purchase. This is the first time I’ve purchased yarn from somewhere other than the big box craft stores, and I’m happy to say I plan to do so again!
