This is a beautiful pattern. The result was gorgeous I already left a short renew but I have gotten so many compliments! Thought I would send another photo.

Sholach Afghan

I have been crocheting for 50 years. This is the most fun pattern I’ve ever worked. I recommended this to two friends, they purchased, and are loving it! The afghan came out beautiful. The directions and video are great. More patterns, please!

I absolutely loved making this kit!! I was worried I wouldn’t have enough yarn, but I have plenty left over. The instructions were clearly written, and it also included the chart.

The kit arrived in a protected bag with pattern and an abundance of yarn to complete the project. That pattern was very easy to read (with multiple ways to read each section) and I loved the designated places to check off completed rows. The ombre yarn made for a beautiful effect

5 stars for the Sholach pattern. Very well written, it was a fabulous first mosaic crochet project for me.

The yarn was an issue. My gauge is pretty much spot on. Yet, having finished the body of the blanket exactly as described in the pattern, I'm about to start the double border. Problem is, I don't have enough of yarn A to complete this part of the project. I also have one untouched skein of the Red Heart ombre. So quantities are off, which is frustrating if you've purchased a kit.

Undeterred, I took yarn A labels to the store to buy more. Described as soft white/blanc doux/blanco suave...no dye lots. Turns out, once I'm home to be the completely wrong color. Checked pattern, and the color is 'aran'. Please tell me how every skein had the wrong label on it?? Needless to say, my frustration, and the 3 stars awarded, is due to the yarn, or lack of it, in the kit.

Great pattern and kit! The yarn is a little scratchy (like an afghan made by my grandmother in her youth), but the pattern is wonderful and the gradient of the Redheart ombre can not be beat. I was able to work this blanket up in about a month of dedicated work time and I know it will be treasured and admired for years to come!

I love this pattern working on one and bought another in the brown shades. Learned something new, Mosaic crochet is so different.

The pattern comes in a written form and a chart and both are easy. I absolutely love it! My only issue is I did not take into consideration the size of the blanket and it using Red Heart yarn. I’m a quarter of the way done and it’s so extremely heavy, but I’m going to complete it anyway. I may make it again but using a lighter weight yarn. The back is just stripes of the colors used and it’s nice. I haven’t done mosaic crochet before and it’s easy! I highly recommend this!

I love this afghan. The pattern is so easy and well written. It’s fun to see the design take shape as you work. If in doubt, watch the recommended video. I know I’ll make more Sholach items.

Very well written pattern, easy to do. The yarn included is not up to the quality expected for such a beautiful piece. I wish they offered it with a different yarn than Red heart. Too scratchy, even after washing it.

Beautiful heavy weight blanket.

I bought this kit to make as a gift for a special friend. In the making, I discovered that the greens in the ombré yarn did not match. One skein was more blue and two were more yellow, and one was almost two shades darker than the others. The “soft white” was either earn or it was very dirty. I was also very disappointed that there was no pattern for a border and definitely not enough yarn for one. I wish I had just bought the pattern a chosen my own yarn!

I love this kit. I’ve wanted to make this one for a while. I plan to enter it in the county fair in august. I haven’t started it yet as I’m finishing a different project, but it looks straight forward and has lots of info.

Well it a very nice pattern love how it turning out but it would be nice if the kit gave you enough yarn to finish the project other than that it's great

Wish I could crochet faster so I could enjoy the finished product. Good instructions, good materials and fun to do.

Beautiful design with easy to follow instructions. The only thing lacking was a detailed instruction for the border although a web site with a tutorial was given for the border. Would definitely recommend this product for a beautiful fun to make afghan.

I would say I am at an intermediate level. I watched the video for it as I have never done a pattern like this and I haven't crocheted anything for 10 years. So far so good I am on pattern 3 of the afgahn. I made a couple errors in pattern one but not super noticeable. I think the pattern is easy to follow once you get going. I may do the same afgahn again with different colors. I really am enjoying it.

I loved this afghan the first time I saw it....so pretty. I thought it was outside my skillset but I was wrong! It just took a little practice for me since I'm new to mosaic crochet. This pattern is so worth every bit of effort you put into it, that if you oopsed a row or more, no worries, just undo the rows and redo them. You won't regret it. I watch t.v. while crocheting so, yep, I do have to undo a row or two, but I do like the way you can finish off one row, put it down and come back to it later and just continue on. I'm learning to double check my row stitch count so no more redo's! I'm almost halway completed and already looking forward to crocheting the border. The border method used is also new for me so I'm very interested to see how that looks as well! I've been so happy with this project. I've been crocheting over 50 yrs and so glad I gave mosaic a try! Can't wait for the next project! Hmmm, which one will it be?

I love the color but I do not like the yarn choice. It is not very soft and rough.

Waiting to have time to make this beautifil crocheted item.
