Love this yarn! So soft. Very easy to work with.
I am a complete newbie. Never knew how to knit but I practiced and learnt all the required techniques before I worked with my actual yarn. The multi coloured intarsia is quite hard for beginners so I would recommend using only 2 colours for intarsia and duplicate stitch the remaining colours and details. Completed the prohject in 1.5 months and while it definitely doesn't look as good as an experienced knitter since I've made a lot of mistakes on the intarsia parts, I am very proud of my cardigan :> Amaze amaze amaze!
I love this yarn! I make baby blankets to donate to local places. The yarn is soft, doesn't split, and has a great colo selection. AND its machine wash and dry!

I was very happy with my yarn! I ordered 12 , I got 9 of 1 color and 3 of another color. Plenty of each to make lots of items. I received the cones which I was really happy about . I got a nice mixture of the small skeins that came with each one. This should last me a long time but I would definitely order again. What a great value!

The Vintage Wallpaper Throw is an easy and fun project! I loved crocheting this throw and took it everywhere. People would come up to me and ask me about it and want to touch the yarn which is very soft. Of course I had to excitedly tell them all about Bag O Day and her easy tutorials! She does have a tutorial of this throw which I used a couple times for the border. I have never put a border on a blanket before. I love how quick and easy the half double crochet stitch is, it’s also my favorite stitch so far. This kit or the finished project would make a great gift! I will buy this again in other colors.

I agree with others about the confusing directions for this blanket. There are detailed pictures for a few rows but they most difficult and confusing directions have NO pictures. I stopped working on this and put it away. I would like to try again if I could find a youtube video or pictures of all the steps.

I love the look of this baby blanket. I consider myself to have intermediate skills, as I have made many complicated afghans. However, with this one I struggled with the directions. When I finally got through the first row of fans, the directions were muddy and I could not get them to work. I hate to admit it, but I gave up on this pattern. Maybe some day I will come back to it again. Disappointed.
I love this design. It was easier to crochet than I imagined, and I'll be making more in different colors. I'm making one for my bedroom in more grown-up colors. Quality of the yarn was also very nice.

Overall, this kit made a pretty baby blanket. This pattern was so confusing to me. I feel it could have been written much more clear and easy! After getting the pattern, I realized the holes in the blanket won’t be good for baby’s tiny fingers. It was just entirely too much work for what I ended up with. I’ve made many afghans from Mary Maxim, just won’t make this one again!

Very complicated pattern with unclear instructions. The yarn itself varied in thickness within the same skein and constantly got knotted and tangled.
THIS IS ONE OF THE PRETTIEST BLANKETS I'VE EVER MADE. IT CAN BE FOR A BOY OR A GIRL. I'VE MADE 2 SO FAR AND I HAVE REQUESTS TO MAKE MORE! BUT NOT FOR BABIES, FOR LAP BLANKETS FOR GRANDMA'S TOO! I LOVE THE PATTERN.
I made both blankets with no problems. I had to watch the grid for the lamb blanket very closely but it turned out great. I would make both of them again.

The 🧶 yarn was good quality as is the case with Mary Maxim. However I found the instructions challenging and did not like the appearance. Not sure if it could have been me. However I have been crocheting for 60+ years and do not usually have problems. Anyway I choose to substitute another pattern and make a beautiful blanket as a baby shower gift.

Sorry, but, in my opinion, the pattern was difficult following the instructions and the method of working it was just so unenjoyable. I repurposed the yarn to make your “Tilted Shells Baby Blanket” instead.
