Wolf Cardigan Pattern (Original Version)
Learnt to knit just so I could make this cardigan

I am a complete newbie. Never knew how to knit but I practiced and learnt all the required techniques before I worked with my actual yarn. The multi coloured intarsia is quite hard for beginners so I would recommend using only 2 colours for intarsia and duplicate stitch the remaining colours and details. Completed the prohject in 1.5 months and while it definitely doesn't look as good as an experienced knitter since I've made a lot of mistakes on the intarsia parts, I am very proud of my cardigan :> Amaze amaze amaze!

I was very happy with my yarn! I ordered 12 , I got 9 of 1 color and 3 of another color. Plenty of each to make lots of items. I received the cones which I was really happy about . I got a nice mixture of the small skeins that came with each one. This should last me a long time but I would definitely order again. What a great value!

The Vintage Wallpaper Throw is an easy and fun

The Vintage Wallpaper Throw is an easy and fun project! I loved crocheting this throw and took it everywhere. People would come up to me and ask me about it and want to touch the yarn which is very soft. Of course I had to excitedly tell them all about Bag O Day and her easy tutorials! She does have a tutorial of this throw which I used a couple times for the border. I have never put a border on a blanket before. I love how quick and easy the half double crochet stitch is, it’s also my favorite stitch so far. This kit or the finished project would make a great gift! I will buy this again in other colors.

Kit lacked the yarn to complete the blanket.

This was a wonderful kit, but it lacked the quantity of yarn promised to complete the blanket. I had read that same complaint in the reviews prior to my purchase. Another customer had the same issue with the kit not being complete, so I was not surprised when it happened. Mid way through the blanket, I ran out of light and dark grey yarn. I contacted customer service and they were very prompt in answering my questions. Very pleased with their customer service. They did however hint that I had possibly carried to much yarn throughout the pattern or my gauge was off to cause the shortage.. Not the case and I provided several pictures to them of my project. There was obviously a quality control issue on their end when the kit was assembled for distribution. They did promptly send the yarn needed to complete the blanket and it turned out beautifully.

Inadequate amount of yarn given in the kit to complete the afghan.

I was extremely disappointed that the kit was not complete with the yarn needed to finish the blanket. I ran out of light grey and dark grey when I was only half way through the blanket. I contacted Mary Maxim customer service. Customer service was very prompt and asked me to send them a picture of my project and made reference that I may had most likey carried my yarn for to many stitches or my gauge was off to cause me to run out of yarn prematurely . I was happy to send pictures of my progress. None of the above was the case on my project. Been crocheting 20 years and this is the first time I ran out of yarn in a kit. Someone obviously did not pack the kits properly at the facility. I will say, I was very happy that the customer service rep. sent me out the 2 colors ASAP and I was able to complete the afghan. She also was kind and offered to help if I ran out of any other colors. Very happy with their quick response. It turned out beautiful. It was a very challenging afghan with all the bobbins. I would say it is an advanced intermediate pattern, but just my opinion. I was definitely challenged,, but the blanket turned out amazing.

FUN!

This project has been so fun to work on. Since it works up so quickly, the reward level is pretty high, and the motifs just crack me up!
If you have any experience changing colors, this project will be a breeze. There are good color changing instruction in the kit, but if it's new to you, I would suggest you find a good video or some instructions with good diagrams to help you make sense of it. I'm sure, you'll find it easy to learn. You may find it a little bit of challenge when you have 10 bobbins hanging of your working row, but that's part of the fun.

Yarn issue

The only thing I’m not satisfied with is the amount of yarn sent with the kit. I have ordered for many years from you. You don’t send full skeins of yarn for all the colors , so I had to order more and only got the same darn amount as what was originally sent with the kit. Not all of us crochet the same. I hope this amount you sent will be enough to finish the project. I hope you reconsider the way you determine how much yarn to send. Thank you for your time
