Manta de ganchillo Winterfrost

I found the directions to be written in a manner that worked well for me - this isn't the first mosaic afghan I've done though and perhaps that made the process easier. Once I realized the usual concept of row by row alternating colors was just turned into round by round for the blocks, it fell together for me. The pictures in the directions were valuable for reference too as I worked with the first block (which I did rip out and redo a few times until it matched what I was seeing).

My only complaint - the color way I selected (seascape/denim) isn't a good pairing, there's not enough contrast and the denim needs to be changed out for a darker color. Since I needed to get the afghan completed as a gift, I dug around in my yarn stash and found enough of a dark color to contrast with the pale prism yarn to do the project in time for the event. I did end up modifying a bit of the pattern because I had to work around what yarn I had on hand but I think it came out well.

Difficult I put it back in the bag. Frustrating instructions. With help from a Facebooker I found out that this is a mosaic pattern which would have been helpful information at the time of purchase. I was not familiar with this form of crocheting so it’s been difficult. This one will wait until I learn how to do this type of crochet, so it may never see the light of day again. Of course if Mary maxim did a tutorial I’d try again, hint hint!

I haven’t started working on this yet because I’m learn in the mosaic techniques from other sources. What I noticed about this design is there are no mosaic chart or graph which would made working with this blanket a bit more enjoyable. Please consider adding a mosaic instructional chart

I have tried about five times to start my first square and have not had any success! An intermediate-level pattern should not be this difficult to follow. It is never clear when I should change colors for the design! Unless things change don't bother with this kit!

Directions made no sense and couldn’t locate a video to guide me. Called Customer Sevice and requested assistance to locate some assistance with the pattern abd was instructed that if I didnt find anything on line than there was nothing thay customer service could do. Item saddly returned.

I loved making this blanket.

Pattern is hard to understand. I’ve done mosaic before but when it says fldc in the in corner ch space 2 rows below, it doesn’t specify if it’s in the white or blue 2 rows below so I’m very confused and my squares don’t look good at all. I’ve asked several times but no one seems to know.

I have bought many crochet kits from here and have loved them all but this one I am very disappointed and will not be making the pattern. It looked beautiful and I love the yarn but the pattern and what I made is hard to follow and looks so sloppy. I wish I could have seen the up close motif picture before purchasing. I did not understand how the white frost was on the color background but now see it is all together and a very complicated pattern. I would like ideas on what else to do with my yarn.

I have tried this six times and now it back on the bag. I am an experienced crocheter. This pattern is poorly written, is there a chart for this?

The instructions are completely impossible to follow.

I love this pattern. I'm afraid I am not sure in some of the reading of the pattern. I will aventually figure it out as that is what I do. However, It is proving just a little more difficult that I am able at the moment. I can't wait to finally get it as I love this pattern. It is beautiful!
