Description
Knit a charming Rag Doll afghan for your little one, with our easy-to-follow, graph-style pattern. Designed using Mary Maxim Mellowspun, DK sport-weight yarns that provided 420 yds/4 oz skein at the time. Today, you can choose from an abundant collection of DK weight yarns! We recommend Premier DK Anti-Pilling for the colors necessary for this project Keep in mind, yardages can vary. Materials List: MC (24 oz), Red Med. Blue, White, Pink (200 yds each), Black (70 yds), and Dk Blue (60 yds). Also requires a 36" Circular knitting needle size 5 (3.75 mm), and crochet hook size 5 (3.75 mm). Finished size approx 48 x 68" (122 x 173 cm)—Intermediate knit. You can find other fun Rag Doll designs sold separately!
Stitch Requirements: Knit, purl, repeat, cast on, cast off, stockinette stitch, color pattern knitting method is used in changing colors.

This is my current go-to base yarn for my baby blankets. It's a soft, lighter weight cotton with just enough blended fibers to make it washable and smoother to work with than the standard kitchen cottons. Similar (or almost the same) as the Bernat Softee cotton yarn, but the colors are more pastel and muted. I hope this doesn't get phased out so I'm buying up all the "cotton" color I can afford!
