Description
Create a stylish, matching beret and fingerless gloves set with this knitting pattern, ideal for anyone who values both fashion and practicality. Designed for the Mary Maxim Knit Club for use with Mary Maxim Mellowspun, a DK weight yarn offering 160 yards per 1.75 oz at the time. We invite you to explore a variety of sport-weight yarns in all your favorite shades—just be sure to check yardage differences. Materials List: 3 balls, stitch markers, set of 4 double-point knitting needles size 6 (4 mm), and one 16" circular needle size 6 (4 mm). Hat circumference 21.5" (54.5 cm), gloves 8" (20.5 cm) around palm of hand. Intermediate knit.
Stitch Requirements: Knit, purl, stocking stitch, increase, decrease, place marker.

It came with 8 balls of Mary Maxim Baby's best yarn in a size 2/Fine. You will need to have a 4 mm crochet hook. Pretty simple base (main part of blanket) crochet pattern if you have been crocheting for a while.. The border is what gets complicated. So would say it would be more towards an intermediate crocheter. Have only started working on this but so far I am quite happy with the yarn, the pattern, the quality of the yarn and shipping/packaging. (shipped in its own zippered bag)
My surprise pack consisted of: 2 Lion Brand off the hook yarns ( this is the one with all the loops-no tools needed- and will probably give to my niece), 2 loops and threads impeccable speckle stripes yarn ( nice and thick- great for making warm hats or blanket squares), 2 Caron one pound yarns in an orange color ( love Caron) , 2 snuggly wuggly loops and threads yarn, 2 feels like butta lion brand yarn (never used but happy to try-nice and soft) , 2 bon bons (love these little things-so great making checkered scarves and blankets!), 1 Cato yarn from Turkey ( very coarse and thick but a lovely combo of fall colors-1 skein might be enough for a fantastic scarf fringe) , 1 huge twisted crochet hook and 1 set of huge knitting needles and multiple printed patterns. All in all- In my opinion and pretty great surprise bag for me for the cost.
This yarn was quite soft and not scratchy. used it to make 2 hats and worked up beautifully. Not like some other Red Heart yarns I have used in the past. Will probably look forward to buying more of it when it goes on sale or clearance.
This glimmer yarn was exactly what I was looking for. The coloring kind of like a grey/mauve -so dusty mauve is pretty spot on for naming the color. Nice quality yarn- will look to it in the future to maybe replace my big twist sparkle I liked so much in the past.
Easy to follow directions
Very easy to follow instructions, and a super cute end product haven’t done the other 2 patterns.
These wreath ornaments are very easy to make! They look cute on the Christmas tree. My grandchildren really like them!
