Love this yarn! So soft. Very easy to work with.
I am a complete newbie. Never knew how to knit but I practiced and learnt all the required techniques before I worked with my actual yarn. The multi coloured intarsia is quite hard for beginners so I would recommend using only 2 colours for intarsia and duplicate stitch the remaining colours and details. Completed the prohject in 1.5 months and while it definitely doesn't look as good as an experienced knitter since I've made a lot of mistakes on the intarsia parts, I am very proud of my cardigan :> Amaze amaze amaze!
I love this yarn! I make baby blankets to donate to local places. The yarn is soft, doesn't split, and has a great colo selection. AND its machine wash and dry!

I was very happy with my yarn! I ordered 12 , I got 9 of 1 color and 3 of another color. Plenty of each to make lots of items. I received the cones which I was really happy about . I got a nice mixture of the small skeins that came with each one. This should last me a long time but I would definitely order again. What a great value!

The Vintage Wallpaper Throw is an easy and fun project! I loved crocheting this throw and took it everywhere. People would come up to me and ask me about it and want to touch the yarn which is very soft. Of course I had to excitedly tell them all about Bag O Day and her easy tutorials! She does have a tutorial of this throw which I used a couple times for the border. I have never put a border on a blanket before. I love how quick and easy the half double crochet stitch is, it’s also my favorite stitch so far. This kit or the finished project would make a great gift! I will buy this again in other colors.

The pattern was easy to follow and turned out BEAUTIFUL. I ordered the pink rainbow color and the gorgeous border really made it pop. The Prism yarn is fabulous. The colors are bright; the yarn has a neat sheen, and the yarn does not separate so it is easy to crochet. I ordered more Prism yarn for other projects in many different color combinations. It arrived very quickly after ordering. I made the afghan a little longer and had enough yarn leftover to make a matching baby hat.
This pattern was easy to follow and worked up quickly. The blanket turned out beautiful!

The pattern is great. Beautiful and easy to follow. The prism yarn, however, is awful. It was thin in spots, frayed in spots, tied together in multiple places. Worst yarn I've ever used.

I ran out of yarn while I was half way around the final border row! Ugh! I can order another ball of yarn to finish the project, however the shipping charge is more than the yarn.

Pattern was very easy to follow, which was a plus because I haven't crocheted in almost 10 years.
I really also appreciate the ability to change the colors since needed darker blues and a grey variegated.

While the Prism yarn is very soft, it is hard to work with. The kit comes with a contrasting color that is the same weight, but is a different type of yarn.
I have done many of Mary Maxim's kits and have loved most of them. This one, I'm not a fan.
Good size, fun to watch the color changes, had plenty of yarn left over (more than half skein of each). Very pretty.

I love the pattern of this baby blanket. The yarn is so soft and the texture,achieved by crocheting 5 rows with the main yarn and then 1 with the alternate yarn, is unique. It is fun to crochet and I cannot wait to gift it!,
Texture varies from threadlike to fat and fluffy. Not a yarn i would ever use again. Its also not that pretty in real life, looks much better in picture. The washing instructions also should be emphasized in the description because handwashing for a baby afghan isn't realistic for an infant. Will not probably do business with this company again, too many better yarns out there.
Not happy with the quality of the Mary Maxim Prism yarn. The colors were beautiful, but the yarn constantly changed in thickness. It sometimes got almost as thin as thread.
