I love to crochet, I love hummingbirds. What could be better. I have not tried mosaic crochet with color changes in the rows. For me this is a new challenge. I do have to say that although I have not completed this project, I have found that there is a mistake in the written pattern in row 25. (I'm not sure if this issue has been addressed yet. I did buy this kit approximately 3 years ago)
In row 25, the written pattern states fldc below in next 39 st, that part should be fldc in next 42 st.
I'm not sure if there are any other errors but in any case, I am thrilled with the afghan kit and enjoying the new technique.

I am fairly new to crochet and wanted to try this project to learn more types of stitches. I struggled a bit with some of them but was able to get them all down in the end :) i think it turned out great for my first try.

So far the afghan has been fairly straight forward, Have had a little difficulty with some of the instructions but was able to work it out. I am fairly new at crochet, that being said I have had a lot of fun learning new stitches and patterns. I absolutely LOVE this afghan. So much so that I've made two of them - the first for my daughter, and the second as a wedding present for a friend. It's absolutely beautiful, and nice and fluffy too.
I wasn’t too happy with the lack of softness of the yarn that came with the kit. It is harder to work with but you can tear it out easily when you make any mistakes and it The afghan is making up as pretty as the picture and the different stitches are interesting to do. Overall the kit is worth the money.

Love the finished product so much that I ordered a second won, but I had to take off a star because the instruction colors did not match the kit I ordered (not a big problem, but still...) And the instructions confused me, a very experienced crocheter until I realized the the individual square patterns proceeded the instructions for the afghan. These should have been reversed.

This blanket was so much fun to make. I learned new patterns and it came out awesome. I gave it to my niece for Christmas and the whole family raved about how wonderful it was. Yarn was great to work with just wish it was a touch more soft but it does make a great blanket.
I haven’t actually started crocheting this yet. I’m still sorting out the pattern directions. It should be absolutely gorgeous when I get it finished.
The blanket is easy to work and with plenty of variety. Nice yarn, creates a cozy afghan.

Products seem okay. Have not started the projects .
I'm enjoying crocheting this kit. The yarn is nice, but the pattern is a little tricky to follow (videos would be nice). I love that each square is different and quick to finish.
I gave this product 3 stars because of the shipping. International shipping was expensive (to be expected) but took a ridiculous amount of time. The package went to Germany before finally arriving a month later in Japan (the opposite direction). I will think twice before ordering again for that reason, even though I love the product.

This is the second afghan I made in this pattern. Both have turned out beautiful!
I haven’t finished it yet but the different patterns for the individual squares are so pretty. Although I am a beginner crocheter, but I can follow the instructions for each square with no problem. I am excited to see it completed.

The pattern is not clearly written so I’ve had to finagle things as I go. I am an experienced crocheter, and it’s frustrating that there are obvious issues with the written pattern that require you to unravel and restart many times. The pattern should really be accompanied by a video so that support doesn’t need to be contacted.

I love this patterned afghan. I ordered two in different colors as Christmas gifts. Easy to do. Instructions are complete and written clearly.
I like how as a sampler afghan it is teaching me crochet stitches in a progression. I'm still confused about the gauge, I can get my squares to the right completed size, but it doesn't match the same rows as stated.

I actually made this afghan twice. Once for my mom and as directed. For the second afghan, I made individual squares versus columns and enlarged it. I found it super easy to alter and add too. I made it for a King sized bed with my name written horizontally down the middle. It turned out great. Loved the pattern and the yarn. I found it simple. Good job Mary Maxim! But I do agree with the last writer. A picture of each square pattern would have helped. I really wish I could add a picture!
