I had a great experience with Mary Maxim customer service. One of the yarns in my recent order was splitting quite a bit while I was working with it. I honestly thought it might just be one of those chances you take with yarn, but I called to ask about it.
The customer service representative was so nice and told me the yarn should not be separating like that. They sent me a replacement without making the process difficult at all. I was really pleased with how helpful, friendly, and easy they were to work with. Great customer service makes such a difference, and I really appreciated it!
First time ordering a surprise color and I was pleasantly surprised with the color. I made myself a fun sun hat for the beach. It’s floppy so my next one will use some wire for the edge but I still think it’s cute
Good products at a good price
I’m still pretty new to using cotton yarn, and I really love the speckled colors in Premier Cotton. The little pops of color are so cute in finished projects and make even simple patterns look extra fun. It’s easy to work with, has nice stitch definition, and works great for the hats, dishcloths, and other cotton projects I’ve been making. I’ll definitely keep buying the speckles!
I’m pretty new to using cotton yarn, and Premier Cotton has been really easy to learn with. I’ve used it for sun hats and am now trying dishcloths and other patterns. It has nice stitch definition, holds its shape well, and is still soft and easy to work with. I’ve even had to pull out and redo a few sections, and the yarn has held up great. Definitely a cotton yarn I’ll keep using!

I really enjoy these plastic canvas houses. They look really beautiful when completed. I have made four of the houses and the stone arch bridge, and am currently working on the clock tower. I usually do cross stitch, as I feel many plastic canvas projects look very amateur, like tissue boxes and magnets and such. But these houses are the exception - they are absolutely gorgeous when completed! It is also very easy to add music boxes inside the houses, which adds that extra special touch. The kits come with everything you need, and if you make a mistake and run short of yarn, a quick call to customer service will solve your problem. (I messed up on the arch bridge and was sent a dozen complimentary dark grey yarn pieces.)
I ordered a few kits and this is the first one I started. I would prefer if it came with single segments of yarn so I didn't have to keep rethreading the needle but I learned to tape the end of the yarn to simplify rethreading and that definitely sped things up.
Made theater so far great kit
The height is closer to 12 inches. There is no option to make the 7" tall with this kit. Second time I've been burnt by mary maxim's less than adequate descriptions. The tarn sent in the kit is pathetic - some of the cr@ppiest yarn ive ever worked with. Won't order from this company again.

I made the Mac's Cider Mill to go with the other Christmas village I made for my daughter. Since my grandson's name is Michael, I changed the "Mac's" name to "Mike's Cider Mill. Very cute. These buildings are fun to do, and surprisingly, quite simple. The kit was high quality and there was enough yarn to complete the project, with yarn left over. Instructions were easy to follow.
These are really fun to make! The directions are clear and material provided is enough to complete the kit. One thing that could improve it would be to have a diagram on how to construct it after all the parts are completed and are ready to put together.
