I have crocheted six of MJs sweaters in the last 3 years but this is my first kit and first time using MJs yarn. Mary Maxim makes the process very easy by offering kits - they arrive in a clear reusable zipper bag with heavy printed patterns making it easy to start crocheting.
The only thing I have to say is greatness. I got 3 boxes of the same yarn, but a little bit of a difference in each one. If you buy more than 2 maybe make the boyarn different. I love them really addicting.

I love the pattern but don't love the yarn as much. It splits a lot and seems to have little furry balls of excess yarn ever so often. That being said, it is soft.

I made this for my Granddaughter for part of her graduation gift. She is going into Equine studies next year in college. It really worked up fast. I mark each row as I finish. Thinking I need to make one for me.
When I saw this kit I was thrilled. I bought it in hopes that it would have row by row instructions, it did not. I was somewhat disappointed and put it aside for a few days. I thought about it and felt I should give it a try. I don't usually like graphs but this was very easy to follow. I found after I started it I couldn't put it down. It came out beautifully. I was so pleased with the results. The yarn was very easy to work with and I had an extra skein after I completed the throw.

I bought the kit to make for my granddaughter who loves horses and studying to be a Veterinarian. It was her Christmas present and she absolutely loved it. The instructions where easy, and the yarn nice to work with. I learned a new skill making it.
Made this for the horse fan in the family. Yarn was easy to work with. Instructions were good. However; being as this was my first time doing filet crochet, it was helpful that I found a video online of this blanket being made. It will be awhile before it goes to its intended owner as it’s a Christmas gift. Wanted to give myself time, again being first time doing filet.

I really like the design; plan to make this for my brother& sister-in-law who have horses. It will be a perfect Xmas surprise. I’m a little disappointed by the colour; I ordered brown and it is sort of brown, but looks almost grey. Instructions are clear and easy to follow.

This made up quickly and was pretty easy. A bit boring when doing double crochet across the long bits but worth it in the end. If you can count and double crochet this one is good for beginners especially.
