Add a little “Sparkle”

Recently purchased 4 skeins of Big Twist Sparkle yarn. My granddaughter’s favorite color is purple,so got 2purple and 2 white. Made her a small throw blanket for college and it turned out very “ sparkly”. Had a little trouble with the thin thread of sparkles, but after using it, I would definitely purchase it again. There were even washing instructions in the info. Machine wash, lay flat to dry. Very helpful. Thanks again, Mary Maxim! Very satisfied,as usual.

I love to crochet, I love hummingbirds

I love to crochet, I love hummingbirds. What could be better. I have not tried mosaic crochet with color changes in the rows. For me this is a new challenge. I do have to say that although I have not completed this project, I have found that there is a mistake in the written pattern in row 25. (I'm not sure if this issue has been addressed yet. I did buy this kit approximately 3 years ago)
In row 25, the written pattern states fldc below in next 39 st, that part should be fldc in next 42 st.
I'm not sure if there are any other errors but in any case, I am thrilled with the afghan kit and enjoying the new technique.

This is a beautiful rug hooking kit. I finished the back edges with the sewn on rug tape and placed a dowel in the top so I could hang it on the wall. Absolutely beautiful.

The rug is good. Sorting the colors was a project of it's own. The pattern itself was hard to read cause it was very dark. Printed pattern out and run into the problem of not being able to see the symbols.

Printing the colour chart with very dark colours virtually wiped out the symbols making it extremely hard to read. Also the colour chart had incorrect information- showing a brown colour but labeled “grey” - rather confusing and frustrating.

Good package

I buy these for my sister who has a disability and enjoys working on this type of project. I have to sort colours for her to help her identify what order to do the hooking. It is easier to sort when each colour comes bundled separately. This one I have to sort much more because each bundle contains many colours. I always try to make sure a package comes with easy grids for her to follow and most are ok. It takes her several months to finish a project like this even after I put each colour with labels into baggies. Wishing this package came with bundles of each colour separately but once I separate she can start.

Its a very beautiful kit, and if you have the ability to distinguish the colors from the graph you'll enjoy it. I found I had to take a picture zoom in and see what color was needed. Graph is not clear.
