I have crocheted six of MJs sweaters in the last 3 years but this is my first kit and first time using MJs yarn. Mary Maxim makes the process very easy by offering kits - they arrive in a clear reusable zipper bag with heavy printed patterns making it easy to start crocheting.
The only thing I have to say is greatness. I got 3 boxes of the same yarn, but a little bit of a difference in each one. If you buy more than 2 maybe make the boyarn different. I love them really addicting.
I saw this is beautiful. As soon as I finished with my current project I’m going to start this!

I really like the shape of the basket, however, the yarn that was provided is not sturdy enough to allow the shape to be stable. The basket is very flimsy using the provided yarn. I am going to make another basket using this pattern, but this time I will use macramé cord to make the baskets sturdy.

This is a bit hard to do when you have arthritis in your hands, but did turn out okay.

This design was problematic. I'm a good crocheter but having it in two pieces you has to join made a lumpy mess. In fact I'm going to take it apart and redo. It's way smaller than I thought too.

I love the basket and did not have any trouble with getting it done. It was somewhat difficult to put together, but is doable. I think it would be difficult for beginning crocheters. I have crocheted for many years and think that helped a lot with this project.

I make a variety of Tea Cakes at Christmas. and also homemade dipped chocolates. Instead of boxes and bags, this will make my gifts more special , as it is something I made for use later, after all the goodies are gone! Excellent presentation idea! Was easy to make with great instructions, and looks as shown.
I fell in love with this basket..something different than I have seen. I ordered it immediately, shipping was fast. Yarn is very nice. However the pattern….looked like it was going to be quick and easy. Row 2 states (15 sts) at end. I pulled this out more times then I care to admit I had 17 sts. I then decided to try going on to row 3, it worked out perfect to the written instructions but not the stitch count at end! I go to row 4 it is working until it states 2 hdc in ch-2 space which there is none. And of course your stitch count is still off. I have stitched, knit and crochet for over 50 years.
Don’t give up on this pattern it will be so worth your effort..I just wish there was better accuracy before printing the pattern.
