Designed by Nella's Cottage. This adorable snuggler will be a friend for life. Kit includes Lion Brand Go For Faux yarn, safety eyes and nose and pattern. Shown in (9401901) Bear/Baked Alaska or choose any color. Requires crochet hooks sizes 7mm and L-11 and polyfill, not included. Size 18" long. Intermediate Crochet.
Stitch Requirements: Chain, slip stitch, single crochet, half double crochet, double crochet, repeat.

You can't go wrong with Aunt Lydia's crochet thread. It is strong, very durable and washes well. Love, love, LOVE the blue color. Plan to make a top using this thread and can't wait to see the outcome.

I have been working on this project for the last week and am really enjoying it. The pattern is easy to follow and it is coming out nicely. I would just suggest that for the gold thread, use a little clear nail polish on the ends to keep it from unraveling
I started the afghan the same day my crochet club kit arrived and I finished it...working on and off...in about 3 days! And I was able to gift it to a family friend who has had some serious health issues recently...and she loved it! The yarn was beautiful and felt so nice to work with. I'm 71 and have crippling arthritis in my hands and I really appreciate easy patterns and lovely yarn to be able to still enjoy my hobby. This is my first amigurumi and I am very happy with the result. I have worked with Go For Faux before and it is challenging, especially at first, but it is also very forgiving of missed stitches or extra stitches. The directions are very good and videos are always a plus. I did run out of the main color in my first run through so had to make the ears white, but I like it better that way. Planning to make in other colors. Took me about 5 hours to complete.
As totally adorable as Biscuits is (and I mean REALLY adorable), I have never worked with faux fur before, and that fact that you cannot see the stitches and have to go by "feel" (the pattern creator even mentions this in the pattern) is frustratingly slow going. However, I will persist as this is for my granddaughter's future baby.
