I've always loved these traditional stockings. The yarn that came in the kit is a very nice worsted that doesn't split. The colors are traditional too. I'm planning on making a garland with them, and to give as gifts.
Picked up the Christmas and Patriotic colors - they were so quick to make and really cute when finished. They are absorbant and are easy to wash, and hold their shape. I love that there is enough yarn to make more for gifts.

This is a great yarn for the price. It is soft, which is my #1 requirement. It can be used for just about anything. Washes and dries well in the machine which is my #2 requirement. A good "go-to" yarn to have in your stash.

Relatively easy and quick to complete, although mine turned out somewhat larger. Very pretty when complete. A crochet diagram for the lacy skirt would have been VERY helpful, as I was often confused on exactly where stitches should be. Also starching portion was a bit of 'winging it' to make a conical form and finding something to support head, etc.
This was a disaster. Many instructions were faulty could not finish project. I have been crocheting over 60 years.

Wonderful! The yarn is soft with a little sheen to it. As always MM patterns are easy to follow. They are written very well.

I have just started crocheting this angel. I see it is going toke me quite a while to make. I am a beginner using fine thread and will most likely take it apart several times.
This was a fun kit to crochet. I love the way it turned out. However, it turned out to be 16” tall. I probably should have used a smaller hook. But it is very pretty and looks lovely on top of my tree. The pattern is a little challenging and I would definitely say it is intermediate level. I found it a little hard to stiffen the skirt because it is so large. I used a styrofoam cone and painted the midge podge on the best I could.
This was so fun to make. The end result not only came out beautiful but it is now a family heirloom. I added the beaded cross belt.

Found it a delight to make. The only problem was finding a cone large enough to block it(not the patterns fault). May do another one for my sister-in-law, as she fell in love with it and collects angels. Thank -you .
The instructions are not very clear. Never tells the number of stitches that should be at each of row. Could be a lot clearer.
