This yarn is a nightmare to crochet on its own, but I combine it with a strand of Scheepjes Catona #1 fingering cotton for my amigurumi figures. Most recently I crocheted a Soot Sprite from Studio Ghibli. The added cotton lets you see the stitches a bit more easily. (There seems to be no way to add a photo.) The scrubby bits are perfect for the Sprite!

Texture of yarn is stiffer than other brands yarns
But it help them to hold shape better than other brands .
I mixed Red Heart yarn and other brands scrubby yarns to use making scrubby sponges.

Although I wish Red Heart brand to have more colors.

I love this Scrubby yarn. I can make cute scrubbies in very little time. I use them myself and give them as little gifts. I also love the Sparkle variety. If you are new to knitting, you might find it a little difficult to work with but once you get the hang of it, it is really easy.

Purchased 6 different colors of Scrubby. Duckie/Canard/Patito was different than the other five. It has little tendrils instead of little spikes like the other colors. In my opinion, this particular color would not be as effecient in cleaning dishes and pots, therefore I would not purchase it again. I have no complaints about the other five colors.

Crocheting the scrubby yarn is a bit hard as it tangles a bit, use a bigger hook, but the REWARDS are worth the hassle. The yarn does not stain. It washes easily. The scrubbing is out of the world! Compared to a dishrag, a store bought scrubber these win hands down. My mother swears by them and says she will no longer use any store bought scrubber. She wants me to try the scrubbing cotton to replace flimsy dishrags. She was that IMPRESSED!

I absolutely LOVE this stuff.
I use it all the time, run with another cotton/mostly cotton yarn and a large hook to make my dish scrubbies and outside of a Scrub Daddy I was gifted, I haven't used anything else to wash my dishes. This stuff is a massive game changer, and it's surprisingly easy to crochet with given all the knobbly bits.

Make the colors in the dish scrubbers pop!! Would lovely recommend to a friend

I love this specific yarn. I have made a lot of different sizes, colors and shapes for non-knitters and tell them once they use this to wash dishes, sinks, bathroom tiles, etc. They will never go back to a sponge.
