Train baby blanket

I like this pattern and enjoyed doing it. The only problem was there was not enough of the light green yarn and actually too much of the white.

I also was disappointed to see that the train was cross stitched on after which I am not a fan of. The blanket is made in three pieces and then attached after meaning one section is crocheted “upside down” which has a different look. I played around with the pattern and did manage to crochet the train part and the reversed on the other side so the look was the same. Also not the softest yarn for babies - I much prefer the Starlette

My first time using the afghan basic stitch. Instructions were easy to follow and the blanket went together fairly quick.

I was so disappointed because the picture is not built into the crochet. You have to sew it on after. I don’t do that kind of needlepoint or sew. I was going to try and fudge the pattern a bit and work the picture into the pattern but will take extra time and effort
