I ordered this yarn to make a shawl for a gift and am VERY pleased with it. For 100% acrylic it is VERY soft. Comparable to other higher end super wash merino wool's I've gotten. The color changes were done beautifully as well. They are very gradual and work up really nice. Ordered more to make something else for myself with it.
the sweater is working up beautifully. Really am enjoying the soft, springiness of the yarn.

I love this pattern but the yarn it calls for is no longer available. Very hard to find yarn that matches. When yarn is no longer available Mary Maxim should at least have a substitute yarn for the pattern with the same guage.

Have not made sweater yet, but directions are clear and I think my great grandson will love it.
I love the idea but with all the color changes I’m not knitting as neatly as I’d like.
We have two granddaughters (of 8) who carry around their favorite giraffe stuffed animals. I thought this sweater was perfect to make for each of them. It works very well. Not finished yet.
I was very pleased that Mary Maxim emailed the pattern when the link would not download…I thought I would not be able to get the pattern - and was surprised when I actually got a response to my complaint.

I like this pattern because it is colourful and youthful, cute yet not the "cutsey" which today's parents prefer for their children.
It is adorable. It's hard to find cute patterns for little boys that aren't some TV character. This is perfect for a toddler to look like a toddler. I haven't made it yet, but I'm anxious to do that.
