I love to crochet, I love hummingbirds. What could be better. I have not tried mosaic crochet with color changes in the rows. For me this is a new challenge. I do have to say that although I have not completed this project, I have found that there is a mistake in the written pattern in row 25. (I'm not sure if this issue has been addressed yet. I did buy this kit approximately 3 years ago)
In row 25, the written pattern states fldc below in next 39 st, that part should be fldc in next 42 st.
I'm not sure if there are any other errors but in any case, I am thrilled with the afghan kit and enjoying the new technique.

Just working on these. I came up with a different way of making the antlers which I find easier to follow, with less joins. The one on the bottom of the picture is the pattern that I came up with , the top is following the pattern. It’s a lot of fiddling to make these I may regret ordering 2 kits!

These are very cute. The pattern is written in a slightly less standard way, but I have crocheted a lot for a long time, so I didn't have any problem interpreting what the designer meant. These ornaments do have a lot of separate parts (11 parts) to sew or crochet together during finishing, but the finished item is cute.

Instructions are not as detailed as I'd like. The white yarn barely fit on my 3.25 crochet hook. I had expected yarn that was less fuzzy, more like cotton.
I found it hard to keep the various colored yarns always on the back as I worked. I've made other MM Christmas things and didn't get so frustrated!

I wish I could have given this product a 5, but I found the instructions to be confusing. If I had went with the directions on the antlers it would not have looked like on the picture. I felt that there should have been a diagram. So unfortunately I had to watch a cloudy video of someone else showing how to sew in eyes and a different way to make antlers.
