Big Twist Posh Yarn

If you are looking for the Big Twist Posh that was sold at Joann (and now at Michael's), I would not bother with this yarn. It has a shine to it that Posh doesn't have. It was hard to capture the shine on camera, but it reminds me of velvet yarn. All of the skeins I bought have it, and I bought several colors so it isn't just a one-off. They also all have a chemically smell. I have been letting them air out for over a month, but the smell is still just as strong. It lingers on my hands whenever I touch them and gives me a headache. It's unfortunate because I bought so many, but lesson learned. If those things don't bother you, then it is nice yarn!

I was excited about the sale price but when I got the yarn the quality was not great falls apart much more easily than the original big twist posh. Make magic rings and sewing more difficult. All the lighter color skeins I got had brown spots speckled throughout the skein even though they were wrapped in plastic.

I love the color and the yarn feels so soft but it a lot thinner than the big twist posh I have already. I will have to use it separately from any big twist posh I purchased elsewhere.

I ordered this yarn in February and I’m finally able to work with it. This is the worst yarn I’ve ever used, it sheds and breaks so much, if I wouldn’t have spent so much money on this yarn I would just throw it away. I will never buy it again

Love working with this yarn. Just have to be careful to keep the stitches a little loose in order to rework any stitches. The colors are beautiful and make beautiful projects.

I am really frustrated as I purchased so much of this yarn thinking it would be great for my Christmas projects. Oh my goodness it is a mess. It frays and tears apart too easily. You do not want to make pom poms either with this type of yarn. I had fuzz all over me and the floor. While it is very soft it is too breakable and is the only yarn I have ever worked with that did such a thing. It is barely held up by a thread. I am concerned that when people wash the item it will fall apart. Disappointed.

Love this yarn brand and so glad that even though Joann's closed I can still get the yarn. This one is nice and soft and great for making baby blankets! This color is also good if you need a gender neutral one.

I will be sticking with Premier parfait Chunky from now on. This Big Twist posh was thin and fragile. Shed if I tried sewing or pulling on the end for a magic ring.

I bought this to make scrunchies, and I like it well enough, but its texture reminds me a liiiiiiiiiiittle bit of microfiber.

This is NOT the Big Twist Posh we know and love. This is cheap yarn that shreds and falls apart. You can not make amigarumi with this yarn. It is terrible.

This yarn breaks so easily and is extremely fragile! Would not recommend

Some of the skeins smell like stale second-hand cigarette smoke.

When I saw that you had Big Twist Posh in the originally colors I was so excited and happily ordered a bunch, and then I went to use it. Unlike the stuff I used to buy from Joanne's, this stuff shreds and breaks at the slightest pull, making it almost impossible to work with. I'm so disappointed. I realize that it was liquidation stock that you (Mary Maxim) bought when Joanne's closed down and you have no control over quality, but it's a shame that it's so horrible. I spent all that money and now I'm sitting here with a pile of mostly useless fluff.

Delivery arrived quickly and together wint get that grom Yarnspirations or Michael's but colors are lighter than deplicted and since big twist has been out wantedto do with it, but i will find somethingof US circulation for a while, so it was difficult to gauge color from prior purchases. I'm still keeping it, I don't return yarn. Just cant do what I wanted with it. 😄

Good color, nice texture, stitches nicely. Everything is nice, UNTIL YOU HAVE TO PULL OUT STITCHES OR ROWS!! The FIBRE SNAGS ON ITSELF CAUSING IT TO DISINTEGRATE TILL THERE IS JUST THIS WHITE STRING AND FUZZ !! I’m committed to finish this coat I started. Had to switch to larger hook and I have less frogs to deal with. This is my first and my last purchase of this yarn!

Im giving this yarn in total 1 star and only for the perfect color and texture of it. I am a very slow crocheter, bought 15 skeins in March... and im still working on this project... but its quite literally just falling apart. Every time I tie off or try and change colors it just falls apart and doesnt hold then starts unraveling. I am one that doesnt usually have the extra money for this kind of stuff for myself.. and then I go drop over $100 on this beautiful yarn.. and its just trash.

A little disappointed! I normally use big twist posh chic yarn. I ordered this thinking it was the same thing. Boy was I wrong! This stuff falls apart.We’re making stuffed animals when you have to tie off or knot anything it just shreds apart down to the string. A lot harder to work with. I spent over $100 on this yarn and I couldn’t be any more disappointed than I am. Posh chic yarn does not fall apart.. and on top of it, I spent $20 for shipping which killed me to begin with. Never again.

I usually love Big Twist yarn but this time I'm so disappointed. It falls apart so easily. And don't have to frog it... it will just shred.

This yarn is NOT like the original Big Twist Posh Yarn. It falls apart when sewing with it and definitely can't make a magic circle with this yarn. But it is very beautiful and working with it is easy once you get past Magic circle. I got the red and green not sure about the other colors.
