Love the pattern; but not the yarn.

Love this pattern! It is very time-consuming but worth the effort. Not sure I love the yarn in this kit... it's quite "fuzzy", so very difficult to unravel stitches when you make a mistake... Also, the instructions on the yarn state "hand wash; dry flat". Not possible with a blanket. That said, the yarn looks beautiful (I used "Westwinds").

Very beautiful combination of tones.

Very beautiful combination of tones. Just starting it, but it looks more beautiful the more I complete.

Haven't made yet

I love the colors and the yarn is very soft to the touch.
Since I haven't made it yet, I don't know how the yarn is to work with or how well the instructions are written.

Just Can't Love It

I want to love this so badly but I just can't. I too wish the pattern was laid out differently but my biggest problem is the yarn. It's gorgeous but when you goof up it's virtually impossible to pull it back out.

Leafy blanket.

Pattern is easy to read. Yarn appears beautiful. No crazy about dark colors. Haven't worked on it yet.

Leafy blanket

This is a very interesting blanket pattern. It takes a little patience at the beginning but the pattern is easy to remember after a few repetitions. I wish the pattern was formatted differently for printing. It's hard to turn the pages correctly.

I'm starting on the fourth strip. The slow transition of color on the yarn is really lovely.

Hooked

Terrible yarn

The yarn was impossible to work with. I've tried every trick I can think of, and after giving a a go for the second time today, I'm finally giving up. I had intended on gifting this kit to a friend and now I'm really thankful I didn't.

Hello Jen, thank you for your feedback. We are sorry to hear about your experience. Our customers love the unique texture of our Prism yarn, but we do understand that it may take some effort to get used to a roving style yarn. I have a few tips on pulling out stitches with roving yarn! Typically when we have to rip out stitches we tend to just start yanking on the yarn. Instead, try pulling the yarn straight down from the base of the stitch. This will reduce tension on the yarn and help it slide easier. If you feel any resistance do not pull harder. Try to gently loosen the strand instead. If you still need any further assistance please let us know. We are here to help!

I returned it. The wool is too thin and too hard to work with.

Pretty, a bit difficult

I found this project to be a bit tricky and difficult to keep straight. I am a very experienced crochet-er and it required a lot of concentration. It is a very pretty pattern when you finally get the rhythm.

Pattern is too difficult & makes crocheting a pain

The finished product looks attractive, but since the pattern is so difficult to execute, it was not worth it for me. I purchased this kit & I got so frustrated that I almost threw it out, but I decided that I love the yarn, but the pattern is not for me. I crochet for pleasure & this was not a pleasure.

Hello Connie, we're sorry to hear about the difficulty you experienced with the pattern. Have you been able to complete the blanket? Do you still need assistance? We are happy to help! You can call customer service at 8009629504 to set up project assistance. Please let us know if there is anything we can do to further assist you.

I actually didn’t use the

I actually didn’t use the pattern. I don’t like putting rows together so used the yarn which I love and a spider stitch.

Leafy Not Leafy!

The yarn is soft and beautifully colored but I found the pattern too difficult. Instead I used half double crochet for the entire afghan and used a boarder from another afghan pattern. The pattern is simple but shows off the colors in a variegated stripe pattern. I love the way it turned out.
