My mother ordered the Seaside Ripple kit for my Christmas gift. I love the pattern but am disappointed with the yarn colors. I received 3 off white skeins for color 1. I received 2 Plum Wine skeins for color 2. That’s what I wanted. But color 3 is 2 skeins of Victorian Rose, not Bone as is shown in the photos for my kit. The two shades of pink are nearly identical to one another. There is not enough color contrast between the yarns and I don’t like the way it looks like this. I think it is important to send the colors that are advertised online and in the catalog. Don’t send the wrong colors or at least don’t send two colors that are so similar.

The yarn is nice and soft. However the directions looked easy but when it came to row 2 it just wasn’t connecting right to row 1. I don’t what I did. I did it twice. If there was a different way they were written maybe I would get it.

Very happy with the yarn and instructions and about half way finished.
I loved everything about this blanket, and will make this one a couple of times. I used the pistachio color instead of the blue in the picture, and it was beautiful. I have a place I regularly donate to, but I almost kept this one myself. I will definitely do this one again.
Pattern worked up denser than I was expecting.. Ended up tearing it out and using the yarn to make a different pattern that was more lightweight. Liked the colors though.

This is a pretty pattern and not difficult to follow. I love the Caron Simply Soft yarn that came with it; the throw is so soft! My only complaint is that the picture in the catalog and on the pattern that came in the kit shows a pale sky blue as one of the colors. The yarn that came is a significantly brighter blue that I don't like as much.
I am in process of making this afghan and am using first skin of yarn and it has two knots in it. Sure hope the rest of skins are better

The pattern was very easy to follow. I finish entire project in one week. It came out so beautiful and look just like in the picture. At first I had miss read the instructions I knew something was wrong so I called Mary Maxim, they sent me a sample patch. I was able to see my mistake right away. So happy for the support.
