This project was relaxing. Light Grey yarn felt a little too thin as compared to gold and dark gray yarn.

needlessly complicated

Before I started this project, I had just completed the Solach crochet pattern where I learned to do mosaic and they did this a very different way. I ended up pulling my stitches and reworking the pattern to work more like the Solach pattern. first of all I made it right side only, so at the end of each row I cut the yarn and started at the beginning again for each row... because I did that all of the stitches tilted forward, allowing me to attach all of my single crochets to the back of the loop, leaving the front of each loop available to attach the double crochet from a few rows up (there are videos of the Solach project on YouTube to see what I mean). Because I did this I didn't need to do any of the chains or skipping of stitches which made the pattern much more straight-forward, tighter, and cleaner looking.

Also the "Oatmeal" color is more gray than in the photo, I was hoping to get the bright contrast between the yellowish oatmeal color and the black, but the whole project is shades of gray.

Pattern full of errors. Has never been updated.

Pattern does not match picture. Also pattern has never been updated and full of errors. Yarn is Redheart Super Saver and is like working with straw. Not soft at all, very scratchy. Yarn actually hurts my hand when crocheting. I may return the whole thing. Do not order.
