These beautiful classic cables are crocheted in panels and then joined together to create this stunning blanket, perfect for any room in your home. Kit includes Mary Maxim Maximum Value yarn and pattern. Requires crochet hook I-9. Size 40 x 60". Intermediate Crochet.
Stitch Requirements: Chain, single crochet, half double crochet, treble crochet, double crochet, front post triple crochet, front post double crochet, cluster, front post triple crochet.

I haven't started this project yet but looking at the pattern it seems very straight forward. lovely design cant wait to start.
I ordered many skeins of this bulky yarn both from Mary Maxim and Premier. Both have comparable prices although Mary Maxim has a few more colors. Whether this yarn is being discontinued or not, it's a top-notch yarn. A nice thick bulky yarn, thicker than the Puzzle solid yarns, but of the same twist, if that makes sense. I've made 2 blankets with this yarn, no complaints in its quality. It's a dream to use, easy to frog, no twisting or splitting, just a pleasure to work with. Now the ends to fray a bit due to the twist. . . But leaving a long tail, thoural weaving in the ends, a drop of fabric glue helps. Of course I'll be buying more!

Color is very beautiful! I am a natural fiber snob due to my allergies handling synthetic yarn; however I made a beautiful afghan with this Harmony yarn without any irritation to my skin! Yeah! And loved the colorway of the finished gift. Subtle and calming modern colors! Thank you again Bernat❤️🧶

Overall a nice design, but thankfully I have some experience and was able to identify and correct several errors in the instructions. Also, with a minor adjustment, I was able to create a far more dramatic diamond pattern for the center panel. Yarn was ok and washed up well.
The directions were fairly easy to follow, and I love the results.
I found it to be very tedious to piece together all of the vertical sections. . . very time-consuming. It took awhile to get the hang of the "cabling" stitches, and my hands (particularly my left thumb joint) got very cramped as I was trying too hard to maintain tension. Overall, it's a beautiful pattern, but tedious.
The instructions were a learning curve, lol, I haven't worked with written patterns for quite some time, and things have changed. My girls picked this blanket, so I have accepted their challenge of working 3 blankets at the same time!
These are truly a labor of love, and I am so happy with the way they are coming together.

The color of the yarn is lovely but it is very scratchy, not soft. This is the third kit and the third different type of yarn I've purchased. All three types of yarn have been rough, not soft at all. I will probably purchase a softer yarn locally before I start the project.
I’ve been crocheting for 40+years and can follow most every pattern. This should not be marked as intermediate. Instructions are hard to follow. The stitches they have made up are similarly named, making it difficult to follow. And their very complex stitches aren’t broken down or demonstrated in any way. I’ve done cable patterns before and there is no reason for them to be as complicated as this pattern. There’s no way I want to follow these instructions long enough to complete an afghan so I gave up early. Gave it the stars only because the yarn in the kit is nice.

I was confused by the instructions - there's nothing wrong with the instructions per se, I was just confused by them. Maybe it's because of my stroke - who knows? I called customer service on a Wednesday, and they very graciously said they would help out. Today, the following Monday, I got my mail, and lo and behold, there was a sample in it of the thing I was stuck on! Thanks Vicky!

I love the cable design and the deep purple color. The yarn is good to work with. I have crocheted for many years and have made all kinds of projects but had a lot of trouble trying to figure out panel A. I called customer service seeking some help and requested a sample piece be sent to me so I could compare with mine before I go any further with that panel. I’m working in panel B while waiting and have not tried the other panels yet.
The photo of the final product looks nice but the yarn and pattern are irritating. I’m 3 skeins in and all of them had a least one place where it was fuzzy and knotted up because the yarn had been broken and tied together. I can tell the pattern has errors but the link to the corrections on the site doesn’t work for this particular pattern. Not a relaxing or fun experience with this pattern.
These kits are gorgeous and my girls will love them :heart_eyes:.
Just recieved my kit. I started by pre-reading the directions. I'm checking today for information on some of the intricate stitches. I was hoping there was a video available to help.
Was purchased as a gift for a friend. She loved it - but hasn't made it yet. But any afghan kit I have purchased has always had enough yarn and great instructions.
