Surprised by this yarn

I found the Mary Maxim Anti-Pill Worsted yarn to be very soft and easy to work with. I got this in colors Copper, Taupe, and Cream (I think it was Cream, I used all of that one).

I wanted to make the MJ’s Off The Hook Timeless Tones cardigan, but had to wait for the yarn to get to me. So in the meantime, I made a “practice one” with the Mary Maxim Anti-Pill yarn.

Everyone who sees it is amazed how nice it turned out. Those 3 colors look fabulous together.

I just wish there were more colors available.

Beautiful blanket

I love the yarn, and the pattern is beautiful. I am only part way through, but I can tell that the blanket will be beautiful. It will be a wedding gift for my oldest son and wife to be. Everything is great, love the yarn color, pattern and the directions are easy to follow. However, the yard was spliced in several places so those knots had to be kept to the back of the piece or cut, leaving too many ends to weave. That particular yarn also splits very easily. Otherwise, the pattern and the blanket when complete will be beautiful. I'd give it a 5 if the yarn quality had been good.

The blanket is turning out nice, but I will say this is not for a beginner. I am about half way done and I do like the look of the hearts. Found the yarn in the kit very thin, would not use that yarn again if I was to use the pattern over.

love the pattern, love the yarn

I just love this afghan. The pattern is easy to follow and the yarn works up beautifully. My only problem is that I purchased the kit and my gauge was right on but there was not enough yarn to complete this. The upper border was a half inch shorter than the pattern stated and I had to eliminate the last six rows of the last pattern rotation. Never had this happen before. I completed this in camel and also purchased it in the deep red. It is beautiful when completed and so soft.
