I love the colours in this blanket and the pattern was easy to follow. But… the maximum value yarn was not the best. The teal was not as heavy as some of the other colours. I used a size 6 mm hook instead of the 5 suggested and still couldn’t get the gauge right. I felt the size 6 hook was a bit large for the teal yarn. My blanket therefore is a bit looser than I would have liked. Also my blanket is smaller than it should be even though I snuck in an extra 10 rows. My blanket is 43” x 55”. Was supposed to be 48” x 60”. The quality of the maximum value yarn doesn’t seem to be very good any more.

It would have been helpful if the description indicated that this blanket uses mosaic crochet technique, which I am not at all familiar with. A few u-tube videos got me started and I am now about half way through the pattern.
Colours are good and match nicely and the pattern is well written. Charts are also very helpful for reference.
I am a left handed crocheter and am following the pattern as written. My finished project will be a mirror image of what is pictured as a result.
Wish the description was a bit more transparent that this is overlay mosaic crochet because I had not done that style before. I’m about 1/4 way in and have found one error in the written instructions. Overall though, instructions are thorough and yarn is pretty and soft.
