I've enjoyed working on this baby afghan. I like the yellow as the main color since it's a good color either a boy or girl. The yarn has a nice feel and crochets up nice. The pattern for the most part was easy. However I had to adjust a couple of things. Row 23: should be repeat Row 9 instead of Row 3 (do to stitch count). Also the repeat rows 13-26 for pattern six times more. I only had enough yellow to do 5 repeats. Then Row 3 of the Border the repeat for in between the corners (sc in next ch-5sp, 5 dc in next ch-sp) it didn't look right so I looked at the picture and it shows 7 dc, which looks much better. I still plan to make another one in a different color. It's a nice blanket & it will work for a baby's car seat.

Holding 3 strands of yarn together isn't as easy as it sounds. Even if you separate each ball and put each ball in a holder, bags, etc. I found a much easier solution and no tangling of the yarn. Combine 3 strands together and wind into one large ball; knitting goes faster and no problem with tangling.

I haven’t finished this project yet but have worked on it long enough to give feedback. The pattern is easy to follow and beautiful color photos are provided to go with each step. I LOVE the colors in this design! One tip - the instructions suggest that you run in the ends as you go along. I did not do that and now, as I have completed about 8 of the 14 rounds in each big “tile”, I am regretting that. Each of the 16 pieces has at least 30 ends to run in which is kind of overwhelming. I would do things differently if I made this project again!
Excellent afghan kit! More than enough yarn and the pattern was very easy to follow. Surprisingly, it only took me about 10 days to complete. I purchased 2 more in different colors.
Just finished my third octagon motif. The colors are beautiful and the yarn is so soft. I am so excited to work on this every evening after work. I have never purchased a kit before, and I have to say it is so nice.
This pattern is GORGEOUS! The picture in the catalog doesn't do it justice. I ordered the light blue Persian Tiles Throw and makes you think of a cool, dark, deep water pond. My husband says this is the prettiest afghan I have made (and I've made a lot). The pattern looks so intricate, but it is incredibly easy. And the motifs make it easy to add length to the afghan should you choose.

I am so disappointed with the kit I received. The colors were totally different from the pictures both on the website and kit. No pinks or light blues (why I bought this kit) and all the colors were dull. I returned because I knew I would not like it after completion. No refund on $19. 99 shipping cost. Will never order from here again. Very unhappy.

I was concerned to see yarn substitutions when I finally opened this project. I would have appreciated an email re the substitutions so I would have looked at the contents sooner. However I am happy with the yarn substitutions made and am happily working away on the blanket.
The directions were very clear, and the tiles are beautiful and putting together was easy.
I love the colors sent. The pattern is easy to read and follow. I was surprised at how quickly I have made some of the pieces. Enjoying the process.
