I love this afghan! Review by Diane

I have now conquered the afghan pattern, as a left handed knitter ,and I just love how the afghan is turning out. There are just a few adjustments to switching to the left handed approach which I would be glad to share with Mary Maxim inasmuch as you do not have anyone on staff that could assist me when I was initially tackling this kit. We left handed customers like to do every project we see, too. I'd like to see you incorporate a video with this particular pattern for viewers to more quickly understand the concept of entrelac for both the right handed and left handed knitters.

While I have been delayed in mastering this pattern because I'm a left handed person and, unfortunately, you have no one on staff that is left handed to answer my questions, I love the yarn and the entrelac patterns and I will conquer this pattern. The yarn is irregular in areas going down to one thin strand at times and very thick in others, but I think it will work and won't be that noticeable once the afghan is done. The overall beauty of the yarn distracts the eye from the variances in thickness. Hopefully, you can get with your supplier and get them to improve the quality of the yarn, but I'm overall very pleased with the pattern and colors are beautiful!

By the way, I also got Best of Show at North Carolina State Fair for this afghan. It is lovely. Thanks Mary Maxim.

I am back again--I just entered this Prism Throw in our county fair. It won a blue ribbon. In addition, it was voted the Grand Prize of the whole fair and is being taken to the state fair as the "county fair's grand prize." I'm excited. By the way, I used Crystal Sands and added a brown border.

I chose the crystal sands color. It is beautiful. I am almost done and am wishing I could put a border on it. I also made the Rainbow Entrelac Baby Afghan which has a border. But I would like a border a bit wider. Any suggestions?

Fun project! Review by Margaret

Ease of Use

I just learned to knit very recently, and this was my first large project (previously I was just making Christmas stockings). I was nervous about figuring out the "interlac" method, but the pattern instructions were really clear and I got the hang of it quickly! The hardest thing for me was getting accustomed to knitting with the smaller needles and thin, one-ply yarn. I used the Autumn Mist color, it's gorgeous!
