- Great Instructions + crafting plastic mesh tip Review by Melanie
Price Ease of Use Quality
I was ambititious, this is my first plastic mesh project for two of my nieces (plus a wand and crown kit so they each have something, okay second but I bought the castle and 2 wand kits together)
The kits are always a little more than I would like, considering I have to make a thing from scratch. But is what I am willing to pay for completed insctructions
The Papers that come with the kit are clear and specify what any cut piece comes from in the pattern. I have gotten minor errors in patterns before, but by reading everything as I go and right before passing a point of no return I can catch them and finish without a problem(this applies to any published pattern).
Tip: I use a washable fine-tip purple marker for the mesh. It is easy to erase mistakes and I can rinse every pc with water to remove the marker. And purple is part of the kit so on the chance it shows on the wool it will not stand out like black or blue. And purple is easy to see on the plastic.
I dry by pressing a piece between two towels and even an entire redrawn sheet of mesh is dry in a minute or two to mark it again.
Second Tip: Measure twice, cut once Always. But don't worry, Mary Maxim sells these sizes of mesh sheets if you need more. Or do something creative and add more castle pieces (from scratch)
