Crocheted Cardigan

I am in the process of making this in ecru for my daughter. I made her daughter the child's version in blue. They each will have a feather clip to match their cardigan to wear as a corsage ot in their hair. I can picture them wearing their cardigans to church. I had a difficult time with the double crochet line, and I counted until I was wondering if I was going to be counting stitches in my sleep! I finally got it all correct (I think) and am working onward. Can't wait to see the pictures of my daughter and granddaughter in their matching cardigans.

Pattern is easy to follow, and make sure you count your stitches as you go! The cotton in the kit is great to work with, soft, yet silky, and easy to unravel for those goofs! Can see me making this pattern for gifts, and even multiple colors for myself! Can't beat the price for the kit.

Wow! After not crocheting for 15 years, birth of kids and work, I saw this pattern in the catalog in the hospital waiting room. That's all it took to get me started again. Was a little worried about getting back into it again but took the plunge! I had enough yarn to not only make mine longer in the torso, (I am 5' 10"), but one for my eight year old daughter as well. My 15 year old son went from saying: "Mom shouldn't you start on an easier project?", to: "Mom your an expert!" Thanks Mary Maxim for having great, easy, fast projects available. I am now going to make two more.

I really love this pattern. You can change the yarn that you use to fit almost everyone's preference. Very easy instructions. A must for new new crocheters.

Everything about this cardigan is wonderful. The softness and lustrous sheen of the yarn is unsurpassed. I received the kit in the mail a week ago, started it on Sunday, and finished it on Wednesday, and I work a full-time job. I've already started a second one and am almost finished. My co-workers are blown away! I'm blown away!

I've had trouble with sweater patterns but this vest pattern turned out so well that I made three more. I sent one to my daughter and she wants two more. The pattern is well written and easy to understand. I use other yarns like Sugar and Cream to get the color I want. You can also use Doily thread with your cotton thread for a different look. Try it and you'll love. People will be ordering vests from you personally.

I much prefer knitting, but took on this pattern because it was impossible to find a summer cardigan in white this year! So when I saw this, I decided to try it. I made the larger of the two sizes in the pattern, which came out to be more of a Medium the way I crochet, but it was beautiful. I had enough yarn left to take a US size 10-J hook, and make a larger one that fits me a little better. So for the money, you get two sweaters! Can't beat that.

Never had so many compliments on something I made -- I was even asked where I bought it because they wanted to go out and buy one too. They were disappointed. Colors are great -- I made 2 and will make another one soon. Pattern was easy to follow and it worked up quickly. I want more of these patterns.

I could not pass up purchasing this pattern - I have been looking for a top to wear with my tanks and this pattern was perfect!. I made one in blue and the other in green. Directions were easy to understand and it did not take long to complete. Compliments aren't stopping when I wear it!! I will make a white one and use it on top of a long sleeve turtelneck sweaters. Sure would like to see more patterns like this available for download or purchase using thread instead of yarn.

I have been crocheting since I was pregnant with my first child and haven't stopped - he's now 23. I have soooo many baby blankets and give them as gifts at baby showers. When I finally decided that I wanted to do something for myself, this pattern just "popped" at me. I bought it, had no trouble making it (in a week's time) and I LOVE IT! I went to the local craft store and they don't sell the cotton in a cone, soooo, I'm buying a few more cones tonight on line. Can't wait to start the next one! Thank you Mary Maxim!
