- Best on the Market! Review by Carrie
Price Ease of Use Quality
I compared the Addi Express to other knitting machines on the market before making the decision to purchase. This is without a doubt the best there is. I can make an adult hat in less than 30 minutes. I have no regrets about the purchase. I have used a smaller knitting machine of a lesser quality and it doesn't even compare to this one. Having the row counter is another bonus! I love this machine!

- Great circular knitting, not so good for flat panel knitting Review by Kay
Quality Price Ease of Use
After a little practice I got the addi express king machine to do circular knitting quickly and without dropping stitches. I made a couple of hats in no time. However, as I also wanted this machine for flat panel knitting, I was disappointed that I could not get it to do it without dropping stitches. I tried fast, I tried going slow, I watched the needles each time I got to the sides, I kept tension on the yarn at the ends, but somehow, some way there was always a dropped stitch somewhere. It was too frustrating to be fun. I watched all the videos online I could find but I couldn't get it to do plain knitting without dropping stitches. It does a good job knitting caps but that is all I could do with it. I packed it up and am returning it. If you make a lot of caps then it is wonderful for that. I could make one in 20 to 30 minutes.

- Addi Express King Knitting Machine is Wonderful Review by Melinda
Price Ease of Use Quality
I purchased the Addi Express King Size during the July 4th deal from the Mary Maxim website. This is a wonderful machine. Made in Germany by Selter, it measures about 13 inches across, a circumference of 41 inches, and is just over 4 inches high, not including the 3 inch legs. The machine has 46 needles/pins in the machine, an electronic row-counter, yarn holder, 4 legs, 2 table clamps, a hole to place your needle, & an operating switch. Included in the box are 5 replacement needles/pins, 1 plastic needle, an instruction manual with tips & tricks, a 24 pattern book with detailed instructions, an 87 yard ball of Schulana yarn, & 2 stoppers. The stoppers allow you to “set the web width of your knitting completely individually.” It arrived in perfect condition via USPS.
The Addi King works like a charm. Tenfold better than the Innovations brand knitting machine, of which I have two. Don’t get me wrong, the Innovations knitter is okay, but the Addi King is well worth the money. It is a very smooth running machine & quiet to run. Unlike the Innovations knitter, there are no parts that can “catch” the yarn, and the crank is easy on the hand. The yarn holder allows for different tensions & the electronic row counter has a clear button & a memory function. The counter requires one AAA battery, which is included. The Addi allows for circular knitting or straight knitting. As for dropped stitches, slow & steady prevents this. Also, I was able to use the machine while sitting on the couch. Here’s how. I did not attach the legs & set the machine on the box the machine came in. Yes, even the box is sturdy.
I only wish it came with an instructional CD, but that’s okay. YouTube has plenty of helpful videos available.
I will never regret this purchase! I hope this review is helpful to you. I will post this review to the Mary Maxim website as well as Amazon.
