Baby Delight Blanket

Beautiful blanket. I love the soft yarn and the colors in the "marshmallow swirl". I had a little trouble with the section of rows across the top and bottom before the border. But I got it figured out ok. A couple of errors in the last two rounds, but again I was able to figure it out. I had yarn left over. I plan to use this pattern again because it truly is stunning.

I am an experienced crocheter but this is the first of the many exclusive Mary Maxim afghan kits that I have purchased where I actually had problems with the way the pattern was written. I especially had a problem with Row 28. I've seen other reviews where problems with the pattern were also mentioned. I ripped out several times and I was finally able to finish it. I chose the color Sour Apple. It came out beautiful and the yarn was very soft and easy to work with and "no knots". I even had 1 skein left. I admit to not checking my gauge on this so my blanket actually came out to be 28" x 31" but will be donated to Stitches from the Heart which is an organization who takes donations of blankets, hats, etc for preemies.

This baby afghan is sooooo stunning. My aunt made this and it is even more beautiful after you see it in person. Guess I am going to have to order it too to give as a gift. It is just GORGEOUS !

The yarn is beautiful as well as the design and will buy more in the future. Had some issues with the pattern but I also tweet the pattern to make the blanket a little bit bigger.. I've been crocheting for 33 years and have done more complicated patterns.

The yarn is beautiful as well as the design but the size comes out small, more for a premie, and some corrections are needed in the pattern. If anyone else has made this blanket please write a review. Maybe I'm not following the directions right.
