When I first saw this in the catalog in white I knew I had to make it. My grandchildren are all grown and hoping for a few great grandchildren to give this beautiful christening lace looking blanket to But one of my son's friend just announced a new baby girl do this July. This is the perfect for the christening. So easy to make and a very good price. I bought more yarn in different colors and can't wait to make the next one. If you're thinking about it buy it. You will love it.

I went with my pregnant daughter to Hawaii for a medical confrence. When We returned home my new Mary Maxim cataloge was waiting for me. I was looking throughto see if I could find a baby afghan for my future granddaughter's Christening.
There it was the " Baby Pineapples Blanket".
I knew it was the one that I had to make for her, it was if the pineapples were trying to talk to me. I had no problem working the afghan. Directions were perfect, the yarn was very easy to work with. I choose the white sparkle.
Now to figure out how to make it larger so that someday she can have it on her bed.

No problems with the pattern. It's a very pretty blanket. Very soft, worked in Baby's Best yellow which is a creamy color.

This works up into a most elegant blanket. I got it in the white sparkle and the shimmer is lovely. Only problem I can see is, it might be a little "scratchy" to a newborn. I also used some of the yarn to do a bib, booties and headband (not part of this kit), and they all worked up beautifully. It is such an elegant set that I believe it will be used for the Christening. (I would recommend the baby have socks on under the booties, however.)
